Hi Parents!
Hope everyone has had a fabulous Fall Break. Hard to believe it, but Halloween is right around the corner!! This email contains information about the day, as I need some help from home. In the weeks leading up to October 31st, I send home a Take-Home Project assignment. Your child will bring home full instructions this week. They are to read a book, decorate a pumpkin like the book character, and do a short book report. This is 100% OPTIONAL, but I do find that families and students enjoy doing this project! We spend the afternoon of Oct. 31 sharing our book reports and pumpkins. On the morning of the 31st, we do Halloween-themed centers. I need some help with these: 1. I will need 3 volunteers to help run the centers. They are super easy! One is a candy estimation station (math), one is making a spiderweb (reading and craft), and one is reading a Halloween book and writing about it. I host a How-to make a Pumpkin Patch Snack writing center. 2. Supply donations! Use this link to sign up to volunteer or donate supplies: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0C44A8AF28AAFB6-halloween If you choose to donate supplies, please have them in by Monday, October 29th. That way I will have plenty of time to purchase things we didn't receive! Note: this is NOT a party! We are only allowed to have one party per school year, and we save that one for holiday time!! These are Halloween-themed Academic Rotations 😁 Also, remember that students are not allowed to wear costumes to school! However, if you send me photos of them in their costumes, I would LOVE to share their pictures the next day at our Morning Meeting! The kids normally really enjoy this day!! Thank you so much for any and all help! **I will also send this same message via DoJo and email**
