We had a great first day of school yesterday!! It was quite the whirlwind, but we made it through and we all made it home at the end of the day, so I call it a success!! Most of our day was spent discussing procedures- how to line up, sit on the carpet, go to lunch, etc. We will probably continue with routines the rest of the week so that next week we can dive into our regular academics :) It has been SO FUN getting to know your sweet kiddos!!
A quick note about specials. Our class is the SPLIT class for Specials. This means that my kids are in groups of 5 and they travel with 4 different teachers to go to Specials. We made our Take Home Folders yesterday and each student put their own schedule inside. This will hopefully help you keep track of where your child goes each day. Normally I have my students write their specials in the agenda, but with the split class we will not be doing that. We will use the agenda to write special events instead (half days, library, field trips, etc...) and for our spelling words. Here's to a great first day!!

I am married to my wonderful husband Ilya and together we have a daughter, Emily, who is one and a half. In my spare time I enjoy drinking coffee, reading, cooking, hiking, and spending time with my family. I am so excited to partner with you in ensuring your child has a successful year ahead.
